In one line
A 22-year pop career where every hit has a bill attached.
Short description
A-List is a pop-star career RPG for iPhone. You get 22 years, a day job and $2,000. Every week you choose between the studio and the rent, while a rival steals your release week and three tabloids review your every move. No ads, no in-app purchases. Just you, the charts and the bill.
Long description
In A-List, you guide a rising artist through 22 years of studio sessions, chart fights, award nights and rent that's always due, where every choice prints a headline and every hit has a bill attached. Built natively in Swift 6 with no ads or in-app purchases, it turns the glamour and pettiness of the music industry into a deep, honest career game.
The fiction
Everything inside A-List is invented: the artists, labels, outlets, charts and awards.
- The Starlight 100 is the game's chart. The Starlights and the Constellation Honors are its awards.
- The Hollywood Ledger (the trade), Pop Pulse (the stan feed) and The Daily Dirt (the tabloid) report on every choice the player makes.
- Ava Darlin, “The Algorithmic Queen,” and Drake Burgess, “The Midnight Auteur,” are the player's rivals. Neither is based on a real artist.
